When people decide to become a vegan, they sometimes find it’s difficult to give up meat altogether. At first, this happens to many people, and so instead of fighting it or feeling guilty, they have a few meals that include meat. This is going to be a life-changing experience, and a person has their lifetime to do it. Many people find that they immediately begin to feel lighter, fresher, and better than they have in years. There’s a lot of information online concerning maintaining a proper diet while not eating meat.

There’s also vegan information on Facebook to help with this new way of eating. People who give up eating chicken and turkey should be proud of themselves. The people in the poultry business won’t feel that way, but it also boils down to how an animal is kept before it’s killed. It leaves humans wondering why they’re so much better than an animal in the first place.

Think of the many foods available that are meatless. There are every kind of fruit and vegetable imaginable, from lettuce, cauliflower, broccoli, corn, beans, green beans, tomatoes, blueberries, apples and strawberries. There are peaches, pears, plums, and every kind of berry. Since most of these foods can leave an empty space in the stomach, consider eating meals of beans and potatoes which may be more filling.

Isn’t it great that chocolate isn’t a meat product? Neither is powdered sugar, so a good candy can be made without cooking it, or adding milk to it. Simply put a few tablespoons of cocoa in a bowl, mix some peanut butter, half teaspoon of vanilla, pinch salt, with a spoonful or so of hot, black coffee, and stir. Mix just enough powdered sugar to turn it into candy, roll into balls on waxed paper, and enjoy.

Life can be enjoyable no matter what type of diet a person tries. Becoming a vegan is important because one person is doing his/her part to save animal lives. There are vegan societies listed on social networks. There are special vegan recipes, grocery lists and pyramids online to help with this new and important way of life.
